- Joel is a Planner specialising in urban, infrastructure, and economic development planning. He provides advice to project teams wanting a critical review of work in progress, or requiring a 'challenge team' input. Joel lectures in the Planning School at Auckland University. In Auckland, Joel has taken a leading role in public policy decisions influencing transport, urban form and development, waterfront development, three waters, and environmental protection. His educational background is Physics, supplemented with a 2011 Masters in Planning Practice degree from Auckland University. His previous work experience includes a decade as a systems analyst in the UK on military, energy, and high tech communications projects.
